What is this game?
Breach is a debut game by The Infima game studio, currently in production.
It is a challenging platformer with minimalistic controls, featuring a unique main mechanic of the level not being rendered at once. Instead, it forces you to explore partially blindly and find ways to render more objects on each level, opening up multiple ways at once, thus giving a nonlinear level progression.
The early pre-alpha version, that you can download below, contains two thematic zones: Urban and Steampunk. Each zone features unique art style, unique game mechanics that encourage the player to take up various playstyles through one completion of the game, as well as introduce you to two bosses. The bosses test the skills and knowledge about the game along with giving a new challenge by using certain boss-specific mechanics.

Who are we?
We are a 4-person team from Charles University and UMPRUM, passionate about games and their different components. We come from different faculties and backgrounds, and together cover every aspect of our production.

Lance Heartclaw - game and level designer. If you ever want to blame someone for BS levels - it's this guy. He is behind the challenges, game flow, story and writing these posts :)
Vaclav Kucera - composer and sound designer of the game. He is the creator of the atmosphere and enhancer of the feelings that we are trying to convey.
Jakub Kozelka - 2D artist and visual designer. Jakub is the author of all concept and final arts for the game without exception. He is also assisting with the UI art and design.
Alex Smirnov - lead programmer and animator. He is the person that actually makes the game a game. Immense amount of work players don't see behind the scenes, but also, he is the author of the main mechanic and all the animations you see in Breach.

What's ahead?
We are planning the official release for Autumn 2021.
Breach will be available on Steam and Itch.io and the game pages will appear earlier, so keep up with the news and wishlist the game when it appears on Steam!
Now, before we are ready to release the game, there needs to be more content, which we are currently working on:

- final boss of the game
- extended storyline
- various modes to play: speedrun, no hit run, story mode etc.
Something that we don't promise, but that we are considering:
- Couch co-op campaign with its own story and levels
- Visuals for the main character, i.e. different looks you can use for it
- An outside-of-story set of extremely hard levels for super hardcore players
